چکیده

The spin chirality, created by magnetic atoms, has been comprehensively understood to generate and control the magneto-optical effects. In comparison, role of crystal chirality that relates nonmagnetic atoms received much less attention. Here, we theoretically discover (CCMO) effects, which depend on structures originates from rearrangement atoms. We show CCMO effects exist in many collinear antiferromagnets, such as RuO$_{2}$ CoNb$_{3}$S$_{6}$, a local global respectively. key character is sign change if reverses. magnitudes spectra can be effectively manipulated reorienting N\'eel vector with help an external electric field, spectral integrals are found proportional magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy.

Magneto-Optical properties of GaP single crystal

The temperature dependence of magneto-optical and magneto-photoconductivity measurements were carried out in the range of (200-330) K. A home made optical cryostat was used for the measurements. The measured room temperature value of the energy gap was found to be 2.211 eV. The temperature coefficient of energy gap was found to be -5.48×10-4 eV/K obtained by the optical absorption method and -4...

Anomalous magnetic thermodynamics in uncompensated collinear antiferromagnets

Monte Carlo simulations show that the net magnetization of collinear antiferromagnets (AFM) with uncompensated surfaces exhibits a unique thermodynamic behavior, with a temperature dependence unlike that of ferromagnets or of the Néel vector. The magnetization of AFM is not equal to that of its surface, even though it results from surface effects. This phenomenon appears in thin AFM films but i...

Surface-induced phenomena in uncompensated collinear antiferromagnets.

The net spontaneous magnetization of antiferromagnets with modified surfaces was computed using mean-field theory. For ordinary phase transitions the net magnetization of uncompensated AFM is smaller than the surface magnetization and the Néel vector, whereas for extraordinary phase transitions the net magnetization is larger than the surface magnetization and the Néel vector at finite temperat...

Optical Chirality Enhancement in Twisted Arrays of Plasmonic Nano-rods

An important property of electromagnetic fields, which arises from the interaction between fields and chiral molecules, is called optical chirality. By enhancing this field property, while maintaining constant input power, we are able to increase absorption of circularly polarized light by chiral molecules of a certain handedness. This enhancement is achieved through the use of achiral plasmoni...

Resonant nonlinear magneto-optical effects in atoms∗

In this article, we review the history, current status, physical mechanisms, experimental methods, and applications of nonlinear magneto-optical effects in atomic vapors. We begin by describing the pioneering work of Macaluso and Corbino over a century ago on linear magneto-optical effects (in which the properties of the medium do not depend on the light power) in the vicinity of atomic resonan...
